Centre Director’s Sharing

Dear brothers, sisters, and friends,

As the 2025–2026 financial year has come to a close, I have been reflecting on the work of First Light Care and on God’s faithfulness throughout the past year. We have experienced joy and challenge, closed doors and new opportunities, opposition and provision. Through calm seasons and stormy ones, we have continued to offer compassionate and professional counselling, education, and hope to people in need.

Our Impact This Year

  • More than 1,300 counselling sessions were provided to individuals and families.
  • 47 hours of seminars, training and support groups were delivered across multiple locations, sharing practical knowledge and strengthening community wellbeing.

These numbers represent far more than appointments and hours. Each session represents a person’s story, each seminar is a chance to increase understanding, and each encounter is an opportunity for someone to feel heard, supported, and less alone.

Serving together

I am deeply thankful for all that we have achieved together. To our counsellors, staff, volunteers, board members, ministry partners, and friends: thank you for serving with patience, skill, courage, and compassion. Whether your contribution is visible or behind the scenes, it helps create a safe place where healing can begin.

My prayer is that the Lord will continue to sustain, protect, and provide for this ministry and for each person who serves through it. No act of care is too small. May every conversation bring lasting healing and meaning in the life journeys of those who come to us.

Because You Stand with Us

Every blessing we experience reminds me of you—our generous and faithful supporters. Your prayers, encouragement, partnerships, volunteering, and financial gifts enable First Light Care to continue serving people through difficult seasons. You are not simply supporting the work from a distance; you are an important part of this ministry.

As we begin a new financial year, we invite you to continue walking with us. Please pray for wisdom for our team, protection for those who serve, sufficient resources for the work ahead, and renewed hope for every person who seeks support.

Thank you for standing with us in this ministry.

With gratitude and every blessing,

Cherrie
