Men's Programs

Aim

  • To engage men in making a commitment to building strong family relationships and community connection
  • To provide networking opportunities for men to reduce isolation and gain emotional, social and spiritual support
  • To help men deal with family and interpersonal issues in order to become effective in their roles as husbands and fathers
  • To equip and train men to serve other men in their communities.
  • To prevent abusive relationships.
Men’s Support Group

This pioneer project is aimed at developing men’s support groups and to train lay workers to run support groups in the future. The group meets on a monthly basis (fourth Thursday every month). Specifically, the group seeks to:

  • Equip lay workers (volunteers)
  • Provide opportunities to run a group
  • Provide training on group work and issues regarding working with men
  • Develop and evaluate materials for running a men’s group
Men’s Conference


This is run over two days.  It is held every two years with support from a committee consisting of volunteers from different churches. Each conference addresses a specific topic regarding men’s issues. It provides opportunities for proactive learning, and social and spiritual growth among men. The learning format includes presentations from a keynote speaker, small group discussion, and other interactive activities.
